Witch Path

Stories about a black cow, a butter witch, a gold hole, a snake incantation and a dragon, which can be awakened: this and more is there to be discovered on the witch path. Dive deep into the legends of the Sense region when walking the relatively flat 2,5 hrs loop around the lake. Steep mountain peaks and picturesque hills surround the charming Black lake. It truly serves as the perfect backdrop for these mysterious and fascinating legends, which are still passed on from one generation to the next. Take a small detour and visit the waterfall which is supposed to have magical powers!

The witch path is open every day from May until October. The start of the path is one-hour drive away from the hotel BELLEVUE PALACE in Bern.
