Lighting & Electricity

Sustainability and comfort go hand in hand with us. By the end of 2022, 98% of all conventional light bulbs had been replaced with modern LED technology. During nighttime hours, lighting—especially in guest corridors—is deliberately reduced to lower energy consumption without compromising guest comfort. Additionally, motion sensors are installed throughout all back-of-house areas to ensure lighting is provided only as needed.

In the spa area, we also prioritize responsible energy use: saunas operate at reduced times and can be individually preheated upon request with a short lead time of 30 minutes.

An intelligent load management system monitors and controls the peak consumption of large electrical devices, further optimizing energy efficiency throughout the hotel.

Ventilation

In the lobby, salons, and kitchens, an intelligent, automated ventilation system ensures efficient operation. The operating hours of systems in public areas and back-of-house zones have been reduced. In addition, heat is recovered from the ventilation systems to use energy more sustainably.

Air Conditioning

Air conditioning is operated at a reduced level, typically maintaining a temperature difference of around 5 °C compared to the outside temperature. Lowered blinds and awnings additionally help minimize heat exposure during the summer, contributing to a comfortable indoor climate.
