The Swiss Houses of Parliament and government buildings are located next to the Bellevue Palace. Guided tours are conducted free of charge (except when Parliament is in session).

The music museum is based on Karl Burri’s legendary and internationally renowned collection of instruments, which was saved by a private foundation and put on display in the heart of Bern in 2017.
The bear appears on the coat of arms of Bern, and the «BärenPark» symbolizes the city. Located at the lower edge of the old town, the park provides a free recreational area open around the clock.
The Rose Garden is a great place to take spectacular photos of Bern’s historic old town.
Right in the heart of the city is the Botanical Garden of the University of Bern, which contains over 5500 plant species on an area of over two hectares. The garden can be visited from March to September.
Take the funicular (included in the Bern Ticket) to Bern’s local mountain. Enjoy the panoramic view over the city and the surrounding area towards the Bernese Alps.
Travelling by car and coming from Basel/Zurich, head for Interlaken/Thun and take the Bern Ostring exit. Follow signs for Zentrum, then Casino and turn into Jungfraustrasse. Cross the Kirchenfeldbrücke bridge towards Casinoplatz. Turn into Amthausgasse. Go around Bundesplatz into Kochergasse. You will come directly to the Bellevue Palace hotel. The Hotel offers recharging points for electric vehicles.
If you come by train, after arriving at Bern station, take a 5-minute walk or tram line 6, 7, 8 or 9 to Zytglogge. Alternatively, take a taxi straight to the hotel.
