The BELLEVUE PALACE is the official hotel of the Swiss government. Since its opening in 1913 the five-star hotel has hosted international state visits and served as an annex for members of the Swiss Federal Council and the Diplomatic Corps. It is not just the immediate vicinity to the Bundeshaus that has made the BELLEVUE PALACE a venue of national and cultural significance. The hint of mystery that drifts through the grand hotel’s luxury premises has inspired many a politician in the past. Indeed, it is no coincidence that the famous Bellevue Bar and the Lobby are regarded as the favourite meeting place for Bern’s politicians.
